On August 4, 2007, Telcell CJSC founded a new business direction in Armenia - payment via self-service terminals. To this day, Telcell is the largest payment system in Armenia, with over 5000 terminals in the capital and across all regions of the country.

License №5 of the Central Bank of Armenia, issued on July 24, 2007, and reissued on December 3, 2015.

In 2011, the company opened its first branch, where, in addition to payment services, express money transfers were offered.

In 2017, the Telcell Wallet mobile application was launched, which allows you to pay for more than 600 services with your smartphone from anywhere. You can also make online transfers from card to card or to any bank account, send and receive money, open a bank account directly in the app, apply for and receive a loan, and pay for purchases in stores using a QR code. Discover all the features by downloading the Telcell Wallet app here.

In 2018, Telcell launched a partnership with Telcell Inkassatsia, providing organizations and banks with secure transportation of cash, securities, and documents.

Today, Telcell Inkassatsia expanded its fleet with 15 electric vehicles, reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability.

In 2019, the Telcell Business app was launched, allowing entrepreneurs to quickly integrate their business into Telcell Wallet’s cashless payment acceptance system.

In 2023, Telcell rebranded, presenting a new ideology, new products, and an updated design.

The company began cooperation with the public-private sector by launching, together with the Yerevan Municipality, the implementation of a unified ticketing system in the capital’s public transport. Telcell, which previously offered ticket purchases via both the Telcell Wallet application and Telcell Terminals, has now fully transitioned to digital payments exclusively via Telcell Wallet, supporting the broader goal of public transport modernization and renewal.

Another milestone was the partnership with Visa, which introduced an additional feature to Telcell Wallet: free digital Visa card issuance for users.

In the same year, another major service, PartPay, was launched. It allows users to receive an amount limit and use it at partner points that accept Telcell Wallet payments, purchasing products immediately while paying during 3 months.

In 2024, a new service was launched in Telcell Wallet: the “100% by Telcell” mobile chargers, which are available in various locations across Yerevan and the regions and can be used via the Telcell Wallet app.

In 2024, Telcell became an open joint-stock company, continuing its growth and development with the active involvement of the Armenian people who share 3,850,000 stocks.

In 2026, Telcell Terminals added a cash withdrawal service. Users can now withdraw money from accounts attached to Telcell Wallet via purple Telcell Terminals.

The company attributes its success to its team of over 350 employees, who do everything possible to provide partners and users with the best services and make modern fintech solutions accessible to everyone.
